If you want to apply the balm just once a day, do so at night. You should have clean hands before you apply the product, so please wash your hands well with soap and warm water, to avoid introducing germs around your eyes. If you are out, it is recommended to use a hand sanitizer. Also be sure to remove your makeup correctly using a specific cleanser, and wash and dry your face. For practical use, our product has a metallic applicator. Easily squeeze the tube and dispense a small quantity of balm. Start applying your WRINKLE CONTROL EYE CONTOUR BALM in the inner or outer corner of your under-eye area, right on top of the bone. Gradually work your way across the under-eye area and a bit upward toward the eye, gently tapping the cream in as you go. Be sure to stop a few millimeters underneath your lower lash line; the eye cream will naturally spread a bit as you open and close your eyes, so leave some space under the lashes so that it doesn't make its way into your eye. Next, move on to the outside of your eye near your temple. Continue to gently tap in the eye cream moving inward and upward, along the orbital bone. We recommend when using the eye balm gently massage your face, including the skin under your eye, to help improve circulation and temper the fluid buildup.
If you prefer to use your fingers instead of using the applicator we recommend applying the balm with your ring finger, which provides the least amount of pressure on the skin, and gently patting the cream into the skin. Avoid rubbing it in, as this can irritate the fragile eye area and ultimately cause irritation and/or end up exacerbating the issues you're already dealing with. For example, overzealous rubbing can cause broken blood vessels that can make discoloration look worse and end up causing more puffiness.
The packaging also includes a metal eye roller/cream applicator, to be used especially by people with under-eyelid swelling, also called puffy eyes. It is recommended to freeze this device for a few minutes and use it after applying the balm. Rolling with this device may also decrease your under-eye bags and reduce dark circles by stimulating lymphatic drainage.
Apply every morning and evening around the lips, on cleansed skin. Gently pat the product using your ring finger to the contour lip area. Use together with our specific lip balm, designed to protect and hydrate your lips. When you're applying your lipstick, do not hesitate to smooth it out with your finger and then blot your lips with a tissue.
There’s no gold standard recommendation for the lips, specifically, but we recommend three swipes on each lip for good measure and apply it again every two to three hours (is the standard recommendation). It’s very easy to wipe or lick it off unintentionally; maybe you’re drinking something, eating, or wiping your lips with a napkin, so you want to make sure you're consistently reapplying every two hours.
